M’lore: Konkani Natak Sabha Holds Inter-Parish Poetry Reciting Competitions

Mangalore, 03 Sep 2013: Konkani Natak Sabha® Mangalore in association with Kavita Trust® organized Poetry reciting Competitions in the Don Bosco Hall here on Sunday September 1. The Competitions were held in two categories - below 18 years and above 18 years. In the below 18 years category 9 competitors from 6 Parishes were participated in the competition.

 

 

The result of below 18 years is as follows:

I. Annalisa D’Silva, Bondel Parish
II. Merula Pinto, Bejai Parish
III. Shaina D’Silva from Bondel Parish

 

Consolation prizes Prethuma Monteiro, Vamanjoor, Austin D’Cunha, Bejai, Grishal Quadras, Gurpur and Chandrima Monteiro, Vamanjoor.

 

In the above 18 years category 6 competitors from 4 Parishes participated in the competition. The result of above 18 years is as follows:

I. Jaison Sequeira  – Gurpur Parish
II. Amora Monteiro  – Vamanjoor Parish
III. Eden Jesline Sequeira, Bantwal and Amlin D’Souza, Angelore Parish.

 

William Pais, Walter Dantis and Avrel Rodrigues were the judges for the competitions.

 

Fr Cyprian Peter D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Dolpy Saldanha compered the programme, Convenor Gladys Rego proposed vote of thanks and Kavita Trust President Melwin Rodrigues announced the results.
