Mangalore: KORWA gives a helping hand to the St. Joseph’s Primary School, Nanthoor

Mangalore, 14 August 2012: Konkan Oversea’s Returnees Welfare Assosiation’s (KORWA) President Mr. Louis Lobo, Vice President Mr. Elias Santis, Secretary Mrs. Jessy Pinto and Cultural representatives Mr. David D’Souza and Mr. John Fernandes visited St. Joseph’s Primary School (Kannada Medium) , Nanthoor on 13th August 2012.
One of the teachers of the school, Mrs. Leena D’Silva had approached KORWA Committee and had submitted an appeal to help her school children who are all from poor families. Hence, the KORWA committee had decided to help the children in any possible way. The committee which visisted the school on 13th August 2012 gave each child a school bag, one steel plate and a cup.
The Headmistress of the school Mrs. Irene Sequeira in her speech thanked all the members of KORWA for their wonderful social work towards those who are in need. She was very happy to see that in a very short period after she had submitted her appeal, the KORWA members responded positively to the needs of the children. She encouraged the children to follow the footsteps of the KORWA committee as they grow up with a helpful heart.
All the children of the school from classes 1-7 were very happy. The members of the KORWA committee, in seeing the smiling faces of the beautiful children were also very pleased. The Committee blessed the children and wished them best for their academic year.
