Nitte: Strong Values make Organisations Strong - Dr. Gouri

Nitte, 17 July 2012 : “When you face and overcome problems your leadership qualities develop. You can build a society only through peace and perseverance. Cultivation of strong values makes an organisation strong,” said Rt. Dr H. J. Gouri, president of the “Jeeva Sanjeevini” committee of The Rotary International District 3180. She was the chief installation officer of the newly elected office bearers of the Nitte Rotary Club at a function held on Saturday 14th July in the “Sambhrama” convention hall of the Nitte Engineering College. She also said that because of The Rotary International has for centuries preserved its principles and values it has grown and left a mark over mankind.
Nitte Rotary president Rtn. Karunakara Shetty presided over the function and welcomed the gathering. Secretary Rtn. Sudesh Bekal read out the annual report. Newly elected president Rtn. Aravind Hegde and Secretary Rtn. N. Tukaram Shetty and other office bearers were sworn in by Dr Gouri. On this occasion, district award winner and Nitte primary health centre assistant medical officer, Shri. Gopal Shetty and student achievers were also felicitated. District deputy governor Rtn. P. Manohar Rao released “Spandana”, the rotary magazine.
District Sergeant-in-arms Rtn. Vincent Saldanha extended best wishes. Rtn. Yogish Hegde, Rtn. K. Anil Kumar and Rtn. Raghavendra Rao introduced the guests. Nitte Institute of Technology vice principal Shri. Innanje Ramesh Mithanthaya, Shri. Anand Shenoy and Rajgopal Shetty were inducted as new members. Rtn. Aravind Kumar compeered. New secretary Rtn. N. Tukaram Shetty proposed a vote of thanks.
