Mangalore: Management Day observed in SDM College of Business Management

Mangalore, 22 Febraury 2012: Mangalore Management Association, affiliated to AIMA, New Delhi in association with SDM College of Business Management, Mangalore observed ‘Management Day Celebrations’ on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 6 pm. The chief guest of the function was C. Devdas Kamath, Managing Director (Retired), Tata Refractories Ltd., who spoke on “Imperatives of Growth Management for Organizations”.
The function was presided over by Dr. Devaraj K. Principal/Director of SDM College of Business Management. Following the invocation, T.G. Shenoy, President of MMA welcomed the guests and the gathering. M. Shekar Pujari, IPP President, MMA introduced the chief guest.
In his speech, C. Devdas Kamath explained why Managements exist and what is meant by growth and how growth strategies are critical to organizational survival. He also spoke about human resource, talent and how to retain talent in an organization.
Following the presidential remarks by Dr. Devaraj K. memento were given to the chief guest by Prof. J.H. Anchan, Vice President, MMA. Vote of thanks was proposed by R. Lohidas, Secretary, MMA and the programme was compeered by Edward J. Coelho, Treasurer. MMA.
