Shirva: Nyarma Shri Dharmajarandayane Mahotsawa on 19th and 20th March

Shirva, 16 March 2011: Annual celebrations and Maha Annasantharpane will be held at Shirva Nyarma Shri Dharmajarandaya Temple on 19th and 20th March 2011. These celebrations are being held without making any difference between cast and creed, with the attendance of devotees from local and from outside in devotion and faith. This Mahotsawa custom is in practice from generations during Suggi, Hunnime and it is belived that Dharmajaranday Daiva is the avathara of Annappa Panjurli.
On 19th March Kattukattalene Mahotsawa will be organized by Shirva Nadibettu Mane. On 20th noon lowering of Bhandara and Daivadarshana will take place and then at 01.00 pm Annasantharpane will take place. On the same night Dharmajarandaya and Bantadaivadane Mahotsawa will be celebrated. Daiva is being worshiped by devotees since about 300 years at Jarandaya Temple which is located about one kilometer away from Shirva town towards the north, which is also settled at Jathrottu Barke and then settled permanently at Nyarma Uri Undalapade.
As given priority to every Daivas on this Mahotsawa also ten feet high Peeta will be built above horse bandi and the procession proceed for the Darshans of Shri Vishnumurthy God and then Shri Babbuswami Daiva, as per the custom. After the Bandi Utsawa Badikara Bali, Prasada distribution, Koli Seve will be conducted and then the devotees will convey their difficulties to Shri Daiva and get solutions.
Every year the numbers of devotees are increasing. For these popular Jarandaiva Kola devotees from many places including Mumbai will be arriving. In the press conference Temple Mokthesara Nadibettu Karunakara Hegde, Hon. President Nadibettu Nithyananda Hegde, Secretary Nyarma Hosamane V. Subbayya Hegde were present and they have invited all the devotees to attend this celebration and get krape of the Daiva.
