Rajasthan Royals move court against BCCI

New Delhi, 25 October 2010: Rajasthan Royals has filed an appeal in the Bombay High Court against the BCCI for suspending them from the IPL. "We have tried to meet with the BCCI to understand the basis for the termination,which was recieved without notice.
We do not understand what we have done wrong, and it is therefore our duty to the fans of the IPL, our employees, our players and our partners to pursue the matter. The matter is expected to be listed this Wednesday. We would not like to state anything further since the matter is sub judice" the Rajasthan Royals spokesperson said.
A legal battle could affect IPL 4 -- The Royals taking the legal route after the BCCI President had said there was no question on reversing this decision despite a letter from the Royals requesting for a meeting to sort out what they called misunderstandings.
Rajasthan Royals, along with the Kings XI Punjab, was expelled from the Indian Premier League (IPL) last Sunday for alleged violations of rules.
