UK: Santosh Pinto elected Prez of KCA UK; Francis Pereira VP

Manchester/United Kingdom, 29 Jun 2014: Santosh Pinto elected as president of Konkani Community Association (KCA) UK during the annual general body meeting held at St Margaret’s Hall, Burnage, here on Saturday June 28.
Francis Pereira (vice president), Ronald Lobo (treasurer), Charlotte Barboza (secretary), Iya Pereira (cultural secretary), Marina Monis (communication co-ordinator) and Jamieson Banji from Warrington (technical advisor for www.kcauk.com)
The new governing council will take charge from Monday September 8 2014.
The outgoing treasurer Vinod Barboza appraised the members about the past two year’s achievements of KCAUK. He emphasise upon the fact that the active participation of members was the key for the success of KCA UK. The highlights of the reports include the successful completion of feast of Nativity of Infant Mary (Monti Fest), Christmas Boom and active participation of members in local community activities.
The exiting president Ronald Lobo offered his sincere thanks to the people who worked hard for the development of the Association, while the new president Santosh Pinto explained his vision and assured that he and his team will work closely with all the members for further strengthen KCA UK.

The members of Association presented variety of cultural shows followed by sumptuous dinner.
