Moodubelle: Seven days long NSS Camp of St. Lawrence PU College concludes

Moodubelle, 26 Oct 2012: The seven days long NSS Camp of St. Lawrence PU College, Moodubelle cam e to an end on Thursday, October 25, 2012. The valedictory function was held at 10 am in the Edmeru School which was presided over by Mrs. Chandrakala, senior lecturer of St. Lawrence PU College. Guests of honor included Mrs. Hilda Aranha, senior teacher of St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School, Prashant Shetty, businessman from Bellary, Mrs. Christine Fernandes, Sitaram Shetty, secretary of managing committee of Edmeru school, Vivekananda Shetty, headmaster of Edmeru school and Mrs. Helen D’Souza, Manager of Moodubelle Charitable Trust.
The programme began with prayer song by the NSS volunteers. Santosh Amin, lecturer of Mathematics welcomed the gathering. Joy Fernades, Sudarshan and Prima Rose narrated their experience of the NSS Camp. Mrs. Hilda Aranha, Mrs. Helen D’Souza , Vivekananda Shetty and Mrs. Chandrakala in their messages complimented the students for successfully completing the camp.
Larsen Edward D’Souza, NSS Programme Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks and Joy Fernandes compeered the programme.

National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NSS was launched in Gandhiji s Birth Centenary Year 1969,And I remember I myself have taken part in one such Camp. Somewhere , Sometime I look back into my past , I feel that this NSS camp which I attended , has largely impacted my individuval growth in academics and co-curricular activities ,and yes, not to forget the values!! I hope all of you have made the best use of the week long camp! All the best for your future. |
