Udupi Taluk Panchayath Members Undergone Training

Udupi, 11 September 2012: The first batch of the Udupi Taluk Grama Panchayth members had undergone the ‘Lab to land’ training program for the volunteers, being implemented by the state government under the ‘Bharath Nirman’ program of the central government in Taluk Panchayath premises recently. As part of the training, the first batch conducted visits and survey of the Grama Panchayaths.
The team visited in Alevoor; the schedule caste colony in Siddartha Nagar, Nehru Nagar Anganavadi, Padu Alevoor Government School and the areas where the construction of development work is in progress and they conducted survey on the village administration.
Hejamadi Grama Panchayath members Pranesh, Vikram Raj, Elloor Grama Panchayath member Vimala, Thenka Grama Panchayath members Keshava Moili, Dharmaraj, Alevoor Grama Panchayath members K. Laxmi Bhat, Renuka Krishnamurthy, Baby Rajesh, Harish Serigar, Nehru Sports President Jaya Serigar, Balakrishna Shetty, Padubidri Grama Panchayath Vice President Sevanthi Sadashiva and member Damayanthi were present as the campers.
Alevoor Grama Panchayath President and Bharath Nirman volunteer Harish Kini, Panchayath Development Officer Panchakshari Swami Kerimata were present on the occasion and they gave brief information on the topic.
Resource persons Sudananda, Umanath Shetty, Triveni and Asha spoke on the topic and provided guidance. In the next stage as per the program, in each Grama Panchayath one volunteer per 40 families will be trained.
