Mangalore, 14 January 2011: Timely treatment by Stroke Management Team at KMC Hospital saves patient after Stroke/Brain Attack. Josephine, 49 year old woman was suffering from rhematic heart disease. She came to the hospital at sudden onset of right sided weakness and speech arrest. CT scan/MRI showed evolving infarct in left side of the brain. She was immediately thrombolysed with (rtpa). She has significantly improved and now able to walk without support and speak fluently.
