Kundapur: Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh felicitates Talented Athletes/Students

Kundapur, 17 Feb 2014: Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh at the aegis of Shevot Pratistan ® organized felicitation of talent in sports and studies during a function held at Kala Mandir, here on Sunday February 16.

 
Catholic Sabha donated a cheque of Rs 3.5 lac to St Mary’s Pre-University College, which was presented to their principal Fr Praveen Amrut Martis.

 
Fr Martis while distributing prizes to the winners of public speaking competitions that was organized by Catholic Sabha, said, ‘Our education institution is imparting quality education, besides offers free education to distinction holders,’ said Fr Martis.

 

 

Dr Roshan Pais was one among the chief guest, said, ‘You all are talented students who ought to do research for the betterment of society,’ urged Dr Pais.

 
The government officer Adolph Fernandes was one among the chief guest, after felicitating Royson Baretto and Gleyon D’Souza, special school athlete Maclean Lobo for their achievement in sports, said, ‘the talent recognition by Catholic Sabha indeed motivates them to excel,’ said Fernandes.  He also offered information on the state facilities that are available for minority communities.
