M’lore: Athletics takes one to worldwide countries; Sadanand Prabhu

Mangalore, 26 Jan 2014: Besant College organized annual sports meet at Mangala stadium here recently.

 
The senior athlete Sadanand Prabhu was the chief guest inaugurated the annual sports meet.

 
Sadanand Prabhu in his inaugural address, said that the sports can also take one to different corners of the world, like the studies on specialized area of interest and research.  The sport is essential for personality development, said Prabhu.

 
Sadanand cited his own example wherein he had gotten an opportunity to witness different cultures worldwide owing to his interest in athletics. The earnest interest and hard work indeed helped him to excel in marathon, said Sadanand.

 

 

 
Besant College principal Professor Pushpalata B K in his welcome address urged the students to actively partake in sports in order to foster friendship and to improve personality.

 
Besant College correspondent B Mohan Nayak was present at the dais.

 
The physical education director proposed vote of thanks.

 
The College sports secretary Kavita bagged the championship trophy on the occasion.
