Udupi: Sharannavaratri Cultural Programmes inaugurated at Bantakal Temple

Udupi, 8 Oct 2013: Shashidar Wagle, chairman of Sri Durgaparameshwari temple, Bantakal, offered motion of nine-day Navaratri Utsav here on Saturday October 5.

The journalist B Pundalika Marate Shirva was the chief guest of the occasion.

Rajapura Saraswat Yuva Vrunda and Sri Durga Mahila Vrunda jointly stage cultural programmes throughout nine-day from 5.30pm to 8.30pm daily.

 

 

Yuva Vrunda past president K R Patkar compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks. 

 
Bhasmasura Mohini, Yakshagana play was staged by the artistes led by Mahaganapati Arts and Foundation ® Karkal promoter Gopalakrishna Bhat on the first day Saturday October 5 evening. 

Hutatma Bhagat Singh, historical play that bagged district award was staged by the artistes of Bhoomigeeta Samskrutika Vedike, Patla.
