M’lore: Muhurtham of Konkani Comedy Play “Utre Uzwadle”

Mangalore, 13 Aug 2013: The Konkani Natak Sabha will be celebrating its 70th Anniversary on 29th September 2013 at Don Bosco Hall, Mangalore.  On the occasion of its anniversary, the Muhurtham of the Konkani play “Utre Uzwadle” written by Pradeep Barboza, Paladka was held on 12th August 2013 at Don Bosco Hall, Mangalore.

 

Mr Victor Monteiro, Ex president of KCWA, Kuwait was the chief guest. On behalf of Mr Pradeep Barboza, his uncle Teacher Mr Avit Barboza was present on the occasion. The quests present during the occasion lightened the lamp and sought divine intervention for the success of the play. Mr Avit Barboza handed over the text to the Director Sri Adolphus Cutinha (Dolla, Mangalore), Asst Director Sri Claud D’Souza and wished them and the artists. Later narrated the theme of the play and distributed the roles to the artists by Dolla, Mangalore.

 

 

Avit Barboza shared his experience in the field of drama and wished all the artists. Victor Monteiro congratulated the Konkani Natak sabha for organizing the play and wished the Director, Asst Director and all the artists for the success of the play.
Vice President Dolphy Saldanha, General Secretary Sunil Menezes, Joint Secretary Lynette P. Kamath and Treasurer Prem Lobo were also present.

 

Vice President Dolphy Saldanha welcomed the gathering. General Secretary Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks and CGS Tacode compeered the programme which was well attended.
