Mangalore: Congress Candidate Concludes Election Campaign with Mega Walkathon in City

Mangalore, 3 May 2013: J R Lobo, Congress candidate contesting from Mangalore south constituency campaigned at the localities of fish market, police quarters, KMF Dairy – Kulshekar, here on Friday May 5 morning.
J R Lobo was accompanied by KPCC general secretary Ivan D’Souza, Kulshekar ward corporator Bhaskar Moily, the former mayor Ashraf and hundreds of party activists at the occasion.
A peaceful walkathon began from State Bank city bus terminus at 3.00pm on Friday and concluded at Urwa Market at 5.00pm, the deadline to conclude election campaign set up Election Commission.
The Congress leaders Kallige Taranat Shetty, Ivan D’Souza and Ashraf addressed the public meeting at Urwa Market. Addressing the gathering, J R Lobo urged the voters to cast their precious votes to Congress, to bring about transformation in the city that is facing infrastructural, socio and economic issues, which are not addressed effectively since the past 20 years. He assured that change is inevitable owing to the state regime of BJP that is marred with corruption, favoritism and malpractices.
J R Lobo also thanked the party workers and especiaaly the campaign office staff for their relentless service during election campaign across Mangalore south constituency.
