ISC Abu Dhabi celebrates 45th Anniversary

Abu Dhabi, 14 April 2012: A day of celebrations for the members of ISC as it celebrated its 45th Anniversary and also the swearing ceremony newly formed committee for 2012-2013 took place.  The grand celebration was attended by Ambassador of India HE M.P. Lokesh and ISC Board of Governor Padmashree Mr. Yousif Ali M.A. and many other dignitaries.

 

The celebration began at 8:30pm with a instrumental music by Rajive Supra and team to the Bollywood numbers.   The newly formed dynamic committee took oath at the swearing-in-ceremony administered by Padmashree M.A. Yousif Ali.

 

An amazing welcome dance based on Yoga was presented by ISC kids choreographed by well-known Bharatnatyam teacher Ms. Asha Nair.  MC invited HE M.P. Lokesh, Mr. Yousif Ali and ISC Hon President John Thomas to the dais and felicitated by floral bouquets.

 

Mr. John Thomas delivered the presidential address and said he was pleased to be part of 45th Anniversary which started by a few far sighted community leaders in 1967 and today while celebrating its 45th anniversary ISC was involved various community, humanity and cultural events.  It has rendered yeomen service to the community.  He also thanked all the rulers of the nation who were instrumental in forming ISC and donating lands to build the old and the current state-of-art building.

 

 

Padmashree Mr. M.A. Yousif Ali also spoke on the occasion and congratulated all the members and committee past and present for their dedicated service for the centre.  He also said it was Padmashree Dr. B.R. Shetty and himself rendered their strong financial support to build the most modern building of the center and happy to see the all out progress done by members and support the Indian community has received from its inception.  He too praised rulers of U.A.E  for the constant support to the centre.

 

Ambassador HE M.P. Lokesh said ISC is one of the best center in U.A.E  providing all facilities to its members and Indian community in the state-of-art building.  Indian Embassy is always associated with the Centre and has been partner in organizing many cultural and social events.  He also promised that the Embassy will always support ISC in whatever way possible for the benefit of Indian Community.

 

All the trustees of the Centre were felicitated by ISC for their financial support to build this center and one of them is Leo Rodrigues, a Mangalorean Community Leader and sponsor (Al Mazroui & Clevy Automobiles).

 

The 45th cake cutting ceremony was held by committee members along with HE M.P. Lokesh and Padmashree Mr. Yousif Ali M.A.

 

A beautiful Maharastrian dance was presented by young girls choreographed by Ms. Priya and a few other Bollywood dances too presented prior to closing.  A dinner box each was distributed to all who attended the programme.
