M’belle: Confraternity Sunday observed in Kuntalnagar Parish

Moodubelle, 16 jan 2012: The Confraternity Sunday was observed in St. Antony’s Church, Kuntalnagar  on January 15, 2012 in preparation for the annual parish feast.

 

The Confraternity Sunday Mass was offered by Fr. Lancy Saldanha, assistant parish priest of Moodubelle along with Fr. Jerome Monteiro, parish priest of Kuntalnagar at 4.30 pm.

 

 

The Eucharistic Procession began at 5.30 pm as Fr. Lancy Saldanha carried the Holy Sacrament. Nearly 400 parishioners of Kuntalnagar went in procession from the church compound to the Kuntalnagar bus stand and back to the church as the band played the music and the choir sang the hymns. The Confraternity Sunday service ended  with the blessing of the Holy Sacrament at 6.15 pm.

 

The Vespers (Besp) will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 7 pm followed by fireworks. The solemn feast mass will be celebrated at 10.30 am on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. In the evening at 7 pm,  a Konkani play titled “Navalancho Sansar”, written and directed by Clive D’Souza will be presented by ICYM.
