Udupi, 01 November 2011: BJP National leader Lal Krishna Advani who is on the Janachetana Rathayatre, addressing the huge rally in Udupi, demanded that in the forthcoming winter Lokasabha assembly the central government has to furnish the white paper briefing the status of bringing the black money from the foreign Banks. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had told earlier that within 100 days of the UPA government coming to power the Indian black money will be brought back to India.

But from 100 days now 700 days passed and so far the UPA government could not bring the black money. Therefore what happened to the assurance from the Prime Minister that he will bring back the black money? What is the status of this process? This has to be mentioned in the white paper, he urged. Already the Swiss Bank has declared the list of some names of the Indians who has kept the black money there, to the central government. It is also learned that there are some persons from the government in it. Those names should be declared in this white paper, he urged.

After the order from the Supreme Court and the Investigation agency, some ministers from the UPA had to go to jail. But before this the Prime Minister could have used his authority and could have sacked those ministers. But he did not do that. Accusing the PM of not properly using his authority, Advani said that the Prime Minister should understand the area of his authority, Advani suggested.

UPA government is trying to claim that the ministers of their friendly parties like DMK were put into jail is not by them but the friendly parties. I do not have any sympathy for DMK ministers going to jail. Their leaders knew about the cases even before they become public. Therefore a proper enquiry has to be conducted and all the guilty should go to jail, said Advani.

When I said that the black money of the Indians which is foreign banks should be brought back, I was ridiculed. But America’s organization called Global Financial Integrity declared that 25 lakh crores rupees of black money belonging to Indians is in Swiss Bank, with the documents. If this money is brought back to India and used in the rural development, then we can prove that there is no village without school, hospital, drinking water, agricultural water and the electricity, said Advani.
