Mangalore: Regional Commissioner reviews working of EVMs

Mangalore, 14 Mar 2014: Mysore Regional Commissioner on Friday March 14 reviewed the functioning of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) manufactured 2,320 balloting units and 1,980 controlling units of electronic voting machines (EVMs) that have arrived here for the forthcoming general elections for LS in Mangalore.

 
The EVMs that are stored in basement of under-construction Mini Vidhan Soudha building, while BEL technician Deepak demonstrated its working to Regional Commissioner Jayanti and Dakshina Kannada (DK) district Deputy Commissioner (DC) A B Ibrahim.

 


The Regional Commissioner Jayanti was accompanied by assistant electioneering officer Ramu and Tahsildar Kempe Gowda.

 
DK Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sadashiv Prabhu, Mangalore taluk Tahsildar Mohan Rao and others were present on the occasion.
