Car driver of JDS worker held for murder of actress

Bangalore, 26 Oct 2012 (PTI): The car driver of Kannada TV actress Hemashri’s husband has been arrested in connection with her murder, police said. The woman’s husband Surendra Babu, a JDS worker and realtor was arrested on October 10 in connection with her death.

 

A local court had on October 20 remanded Babu to 14 days judicial custody for allegedly murdering his wife. The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court Judge Rajshekhar V Patil had remanded Babu to judicial custody till Nov 3.

 

Babu was arrested on a complaint by the father of the actress, who died under mysterious circumstances. Hemashri,who had in the past complained of being harassed by Babu whom she married last year,was proceeding to Hyderabad along with him in a car when she felt giddy and started vomiting.

 

She was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
