NDA to hold anti-corruption rally in Mumbai today

Mumbai, 16 January 2011: Top leaders of the National Democratic Allinace led by former deputy prime minister LK Advani will address an opposition rally against corruption here on Sunday.
The rally - Bhrashtachar Virodhi Mahasangram - will also be addressed by top leaders of NDA coalition partners at the Bandra-Kurla Complex.
’Besides Advani, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Nitin Gadkari, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, Janata Dal(U) chief Sharad Yadav, Akali Dal’s Rattan Singh Ajnala and others will speak at the rally,’ BJP leader Kirit Somaiya told reporters on Thursday.
He said this is the third in the series of such rallies the NDA has planned to draw people’s attention to corruption and related issues concerning the country.
The other two rallies were held in New Delhi Dec 22 and Guwahati Jan 9. Somaiya had said seven more such rallies have been planned - Kanpur (Feb 5), Rohtak (Feb 6), Hyderabad (Feb 9), Jaipur (Feb 17) while Indore, Gaya and Sambalpur will hold rallies in the last week of February.
