Udupi: Jnanaganga PU College celebrates Third Annual Day with Variety Cultural Shows

Udupi, 5 Dec 2013: Jnanaganga Pre-University College celebrated its third annual day here recently.
Ragupathi Acharya, headmaster of Nehru High School, Alevoor, hoisted the flag.
The winners of the literary, cultural and sports competitions were presented with prizes.
The city-based Sai Radha Group of Concerns managing director Manohar S Shetty was the chief guest of the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Shetty highlighted the need not to forget one’s Alma mater and giving something in return after passing out. He emphasized on the need to remember one’s former teachers and school or college long after finishing the course.
The national award recipient teacher Upadhya Moodubelle was felicitated during the programme.
Upadhyaya in acknowledgement to the honour expressed joy of recognition of his service at his home town. He also said that students are a lamp which the parents, with the help of teachers, would reform the society.
Jnanaganga Pre-University College founder Gopikrishna Rao, the governing council president Suresh Shetty and correspondent Prabhakar K S were also present on the occasion.
The student leader Vatsala welcomed the gathering. The principal U L Bhat presented the annual report. The student leader Raveena Handa proposed the vote of thanks. Shahzeen and Apoorva compered the programme. Ramya and Pranith compered the programme.
Variety cultural shows were held as part of entertainment programmes.
