Winter, Christmas special trains to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus on Konkan route
Mangalore, 27 Nov 2013 (TOI): A weekly special train will operate between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) Mumbai - Ernakulam Junction stations via Shoranur, Kozhikode, Mangalore Junction on Konkan route to clear extra rush of passengers during winter and Christmas season.
Train No. 01065 CST Mumbai - Ernakulam Junction weekly special will leave CST Mumbai at 4.40pm on Tuesdays from December 17to January 7, 2014 to reach Ernakulam Junction at 5.30pm on Wednesdays.
In the return direction, train No. 01066 Ernakulam Junction - CST Mumbai special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 11.30pm on Wednesdays from December 18 to January 8, 2014 and reach CST at 12.35am on Fridays. These special trains will stop at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Thivim, Karmali, Madgoan, Karwar, Bhatkal, Udupi, Mangalore junction, Kasargod, Kanhangad, Payyanur, Kannur, Thalassery, Vadakara, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur, Thrissur and Aluva.
Likewise, weekly special trains will be operated between CST Mumbai and Tirunelveli stations via Nagercoil Town, Thiruvanathapuram, Shoranur, Kozhikode, Mangalore Junction and on Konkan route. Train No. 01067 CST Mumbai - Tirunelveli weekly special will leave CST Mumbai at 12.20am on Saturdays from December 21 to January 4, 2014 to reach Tirunelveli at 11.15am on Sundays. In the return direction, train 01068 Tirunelveli - CST Mumbai special will leave Tirunelveli at 1.30pm on Sundays from December 22 to January 5, 2014 and reach CST at 11pm on Mondays.
These special trains will stop at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Thivim, Karmali, Madgoan, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Kundapur, Udupi, Surathkal, Mangalore junction, Kasargod, Kanhangad, Payyanur, Kannur, Thalassery, Vadakara, Kozhikode, Tirur, Kuttipuram Shoranur, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayankulam, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram, Neyyattinkara, Kuliturai, Eraniel, Nagercoil Town and Valliyur.
The above special trains will have one first class AC, one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class, 4 general second class, one pantry car and two luggage cum brake van coaches.
