Kuwait: Albert Praveen Menezes elected as Prez of KCWA; Freya R Saldanha VP

Kuwait, 21 Mar 2015: Albert Praveen Menezes elected as president of Freya Raina Saldanha Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) and Freya Raina Saldanha as vice president during the extraordinary general body meeting held at Indian Community School, Amman branch, Salmiya, here on Friday March 20.
Louis Anthony D’Costa (general secretary), Deepak Andrade (assistant general secretary), Steven Sebastian Misquith (general treasurer), Harry Fernandes (treasurer cultural), Gilbert Mathias (internal auditor), Vijay Alfred D’Souza (sports secretary), Alban P F D’Souza (PRO), Satish John Saldanha (cultural secretary), Reema Lolita D’Souza (education fund co-ordinator), Rajesh Aranha (website administrator).
KCWA spiritual director Fr Noel D’Almeida and visiting priest Fr Sunil Dominic Lobo were the chief guests of the occasion.
Fr Sunil Dominic Lobo was presented with a cheque for the sum of Rs. 12,36,936 payable to Vimukti (NGO) functioning at Ujire, Beltangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka. It was the net sale proceeds KCWA’s Kala Sanz 2015 donated for charity.
Fr Lobo thanked KCWA for supporting in their charity and hoped KCWA reaches greater heights in social welfare activities helping poor and downtrodden.

The newly-elected president Albert Praveen Menezes sought everyone’s support and cooperation for a successful tenure.
KCWA outgoing president Anil Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Ailine Cornelio proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude towards the school management for providing the hall, Walter Saldanha for the projector, Alban D’Souza for photography, Anand D’Souza for the sound system, Steven Misquith for the PowerPoint presentation and to all those were present.
Kiran Gonsalves concluded the meeting with a prayer and sumptuous dinner was served by M&M Confectionery.
