Mangaluru: BJP blames Sorake for the vacant MCC Commissioner’s post

Mangaluru, 28 Nov 2014: The district BJP has blamed urban development minister Vinay Kumar Sorake for the vacant MCC commissioners post.
The senior BJP leader Umanath Kotian addressing the protestors infront of the MCC today said "e here on November 27, Thursday for the failure of the government to appoint a Commissioner for MCC, Umanath Kotian said “Sorake who had changed Deputy Commissioners in Udupi district as many as four times after he took charge as Minister, is now also responsible for the non-appointment of a Commissioner for MCC.”
He said “if DK minister Ramanatha Rai and MLA JR Lobo wanted Ajith Kumar to continue, Sorake and Moidin Bava do not want him.” The development activities in the city has been greatly affected in the absence of a Commissioner, he said and warned of severe protest in the days to come if a Commissioner was not appointed at the earliest.
Monappa Bhandary, former MLC who also spoke, said though the CM has instructed to appoint a Commissioner, the Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake was showing least interest.
Several BJP leaders and workers including Yogish Bhat, former MLA participated in the protest.
