New Delhi, 05 November 2011: Hours after Raju Parulekar, the official blogger of Anna Hazare, released a letter supposedly written by the Gandhian in which he had allegedly talked about restructuring the Team Anna core committee, Hazare clarified that only letters with his signatures should be considered his official views.
“If my letters have my signatures, only then they are mine,” Hazare told reporters, in the wake of Parulekar’s controversial remarks.
Hazare further said he will shut down his blog, which he had used recently to communicate with people, especially during the period when he was on ‘maun vrat’ (vow of silence). Hazare also hit out at the Congress and the government, saying crores are being spent to malign his team’s image.
It had become clear on Saturday that Hazare had fallen out with his official blogger who had accused prominent Team Anna members of leading the Gandhian into a "blackhole" for their vested interest.
Hazare took exception to his views on disbanding the core committee, telling reporters in New Delhi that how can Parulekar, a journalist, talk about disbanding Team Anna’s core committee and that he will question him.
"I have not employed him or giving him salary. How can he say all these things. I will ask him," Hazare said when asked about Parulekar’s views.
"I have not told him anything about this. If he has written anything like that then I will take action," he said. Parulekar had responded by saying that the issue raised a question on his integrity and honour.
"I will defend myself and will prove that whatever I wrote or said was with consent of Anna Hazare. The Team Anna Arvind, Sisosida and Kiran Bedi are leading Anna toward a blackhole and towards doom for their vested interests (sic)," he had told reporters.
"I will prove with documentary evidence that whatever I have said and was written on the blog had Anna’s consent," he had said.
