Bangalore, 05 Feb 2013: Chaos Faktory is a team of individuals who are trained martial artists and authorized instructors with more than 13 years of experience in the art of self defence. They also hold experience and interest in short video making on their skills such as martial arts, gymnastics, Parkour-Freerunning and also dance.
Parkour (abbreviated PK), also called as the "art of displacement",is a training discipline that developed out of military obstacle course training. Practitioners aim to move from one place to another, negotiating the obstacles in between. The discipline uses no equipment and is non-competitive.
Freerunning (abbreviated FR) was evolved from parkour and includes combinations of martial arts, gymnastics or acrobatics moves. It is the freedom of movement and action. Parkour-Freerunning is a relatively new concept in India and gaining attention since just a few years.
Lots of people want to learn this art but they lack opportunity, knowledge, skill and required body fitness. Taking this into consideration, Chaos Faktory organized Bangalore’s First ever Parkour-Freerunning Jam where in around 50 participants gathered to learn and gain knowledge on the art they have always wished to learn.
Jam commenced on Sunday the 20th of January at National Games Village vicinity, Koramangala . Started off in the morning at 8:30AM and continued till 12:30PM with lot of strectching and parkour fitness workouts, challenges and Parkour movements.
Parkour-Freerunning Jam is all about learning and sharing. It is an opportunity where Traceurs(Parkour practitioners) and Freerunners congragete to exchange knowledge and gain more experience through challenges in a non-competitive manner. But since most of the people who attended just had basic idea on the art, Chaos Faktory made it more of an awareness session so as to spread the required knowledge among the enthusiasts in Bangalore.
Also had Chennai Parkour Team who supported the event throughout.
With the overwhelming response received from the participants, Chaos Faktory looks forward to organize more of such events in and around Bangalore to spread the right knowledge and get publicity for Parkour-Freerunning in India.
