Puttur: Eco Club activities inaugurated at St Philomena College

Puttur, 09 Aug 2017: Eco Club of St Philomena College inaugurated its activities during the function held at their Spandana Seminar Hall, here, on August 5.
Edwin D’Souza, Assistant Professor, department of chemistry participated as the chief guest. He said, ‘Adequate supply of fresh and clean drinking water is a basic need for all humans on the earth. It has been observed that majority of the people are deprived of this due to ecological degradation.’
Professor Leo Noronha, principal presided the programme. He said, ‘Industrialization, urbanization and other human activities have serious and adverse impacts on our environment.’
The convener of Eco Club Nagaraju M, co-conveners Rakshitha R B and Shashiprabha B were present on this occasion.
Dhanyashree welcomed the gathering. Navyashree proposed the vote of thanks. Antony Shreyas Rodrigues compered the programme.
