Bantwal: Minister Rai consoles slain Ashraf’s family; youngster turn backs

Bantwal, 27 Jun 2017: The district-in-charge minister Ramanath Rai, here, on Monday, June 26, visited the family of auto rickshaw driver Mohammed Ashraf, who was slain by unidentified assailants about a week ago.
He consoled the family and assured that the police force will arrest all the accused at the earliest.
ZP member Chandraprakash Shetty, TP vice president Abbas Ali, Mohammed Sharif, Abdul Hakim, CM Ibrahim and others were present.
Meanwhile, a few youth of locality staged an innovative protest by turning their backs while on the visit of minister Rai.
The youth alleged that the assailants of Ashraf are associates of Congreess party bigwigs, who are die-hard Hindu fundamentalists and are settling enmity against minority while being associated with Congress for political gains.
The police provided tight security on the occasion.
