Bantwal: State Govt offers Rs 1,600 per hectare for Mechanized paddy cultivation - Minister Rai

Bantwal, 26 Jun 2017: The state forests, ecology and DK district-in-charge minister Bellipady Ramanath Rai inaugurated demonstration of mechanized laying of paddy sapling and information workshop that was jointly organized by DK zilla panchayat and agriculture department, at Panjikal, near here, on Sunday, June 25.
Speaking on the occasion, minister Rai said that mechanized farming is profitable, while the state awards Rs 1600 per hectare in this regard.
Bantwal TP vice president Abbas Ali, Land Development Bank chairman Sudarshan Jain, APMC president Padmanabha Rai, BUDA president Sadashiv Bangera, Mayilappa Salian, Karnataka state Pollution Control Board member Pius L Rodrigues, DK district joint agriculture director H Kempe Gowda, Mangaluru sub division assistant agriculture director Mune Gowda and others were present.
The assistant farming director P F Miranda welcomed the gathering. Bantwal farming officer Narayan Shetty compered the programme.
