Bantwal: Reptiles’ conservators group release 15 baby-pythons into Reserve Forest

Bantwal, 24 Jun 2017: A group of reptiles’ conservators laid the eggs of a python that were found in a construction site, near here, in an incubator for a month that hatched 15 healthy baby-pythons which were released safely in reserve forest at Western Ghats.
The labourers working in a construction site at Badagundi, near here, found the eggs of a python that were handed over to reptiles’ conservators group Snake Kiran, Nityaprakash Bantwal, Shivaprasad, Ajay, Thomas and Avin. Snake Kiran laid the eggs in an incubator for a month and the eggs hatched baby-pythons that were cared for 10 days and were released to the wild at Western Ghat with the help of forest officials RFB Suresh, DRF Laxminarayan and Anil.
