Mangaluru: TRV stages protest against Synd Bank, for not accepting Rs 10 coins

Mangaluru, 01 April 2017: Tulunad Rakshana Vedike (TRV) staged protest in front of Syndicate Bank, Deralakatte branch, here, on Friday, March 31, against the staff who are causing distress to customers without accepting Rs 10 coins and also disrespectful to the elderly customers.
Addressing the protesters, TRV president M Siraj Adkare said that the daily wagers, bidi rollers, students who are dependent on branch to deposit their little savings that will take care of their rainy days. Despite no orders was issued by RBI to demonetize Rs 10 coins, the bank staff has been harassing the customers. The illiterate customers are ridiculed in front of others and also disrespectful to elderly pensioners, Siraj. He also cautioned of mass protest in the offing if the concerned bank officials does not take action in disciplining the branch staff.
TRV Karnataka women wing president Jyotika Jain, DK district general secretary Rakshit K Bangera, Mangaluru general secretary Rajesh Kuttar, vice president Rahim Kuttar, Mangaluru women wing president Vidya U Jogi, Mangaluru youth wing president Arun D’Souza, Konaje unit president Niyaz, Chembugudde women wing president Jyoti, Leo, Jaffer Sadiq, Jabir and others were present.
