Mumbai: Konkan Kalakar founder president John Sequeira passes away

Mumbai, 08 Feb 2017: Fifty-six-year-old John Eugene Sequeira, founder president of Konkan Kalakar Mumbai®, entrepreneur and theater enthusiast of Sakinaka, Andheri (East), here passed away at his residence in Mangola Aparments, Sakinaka – Nahar, here on Monday, February 6, owing to cardiac arrest.

 

 

John and Ursula couple was felicitated during the function organized by Konkan Publication at Pallotti Church premises, Vijayanagar, Marol, Andheri (East), here on Saturday, February 4, in recognition of his contributions towards theater and social service.

 

 

He had instituted annual Pitam Konkan Kalakar Award to support Konkani theater artistes. He is hailing from Pakshikare parish of Mangaluru diocese.

 

The funeral will be held at St Jude’s church, Pakshikere, Mangaluru on Thursday, February 9, informed family sources.
