Bantwal: Gaadigadde School in Pavoor sets example for state-run schools with annual day celebration

Bantwal, 18 Dec 2016: There are 4 state-run schools in Pavoor village, while one amongst them popularly known as Gaadigadde School founded 84 years ago. The students who had studied here adorn high positions both in country and overseas, said Mangaluru TP president M T Monu Malar.
Monu was speaking after inaugurating the annual day celebration of ZP Higher Primary School at Pavoor, near here on Saturday, December 17.
Suguna Balakrishna, resource person of Konaje cluster said that Gaadigadde School with 4 teachers and 66 students has organized annual day celebration at par with private schools, which has indeed brought laurel to state education department.
Pavoor gram panchayat president Firoz Malar, in his presidential address said, ‘Son of a fish seller need not follow his father’s trade, son of an auto rickshaw driver need not become auto driver. If tea seller Modi has become PM of India, the students hailing from poor families had to be motivated to pursue higher education to excel in life and career,’ said Firoz.
The School head teacher Azmat presented the annual report.
Pavoor gram panchayat members Ravikala and Vamanraj, Uggappa Poojary, teacher Namita were present. The teacher Rajalaxmi compered the programme. The teacher Irene D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.
