Mangaluru Dasara celebrations at Kudroli temple inaugurated

Mangaluru, 21 Sep 2017: Mangaluru Dasara celebration at Shree Gokarnanatha Temple, Kudroli was inaugurated by City Police Commissioner T R Suresh here today.

 

Mayor Kavitha Sanil, ACP Uday Nayak, Temple Management Committee President H S Sairam, Malathi Janardhana Poojary, Temple Committee Members and many others were present.

 

Sharada idol was taken in procession in grand pomp and honor where the Tiger Dance troops lead the procession. Sharada idol was installed accompanied by various rituals. The idols of Navadurgas in various incarnations namely Adhishakthi, Shailaputhri, Bhramacharini, Chandraganta, Kooshmandini, Skandamatha, Kathyayini, Mahakali, Mahagowri and Siddidhatri were also installed at the temple premises.

 

Speaking to media Police Commissioner Suresh said the Department has made elaborate security arrangements to ensure that the festival was celebrated in a peaceful manner. He also wished a Happy Navaratri to the people of the district.
