Weekend turns tragic as 3 youths drown in River Shambhavi

Mulki, 10 Jul 2017: In a tragic incident, three youths drowned in River Shambhavi near Mulki on Sunday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Mangaluru Someshwara resident, Kishore Kumar Poojary (25), Kasaragod Madhur based Akshath Gatti (26) and Mulki Mattu resident Mahesh (27).

 

 

A group of 11 member team from a Mangaluru based private company arrived here in Mulki to spend their holiday. Accordingly, 11 member team reached on the banks of River Shambhavi near Mattu Hejamadi to take bath. The incident took place when the trio entered into water to rescue their team member Ashwin who fell into a whirl. However, Ashwin was rescued by another team member before the trio drowned in the river.
