Hyderabad, 11 Sep 2017: A 12-year old girl was pushed into boy’s toilet in the school by a school staffer for not wearing a uniform in Medak district of Telangana, the native district of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The disgusting incident took place in Rao’s school the BHEL Township in Ramachandrapuram on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Saturday but came to light on Sunday after the girl’ s father released a video clip of the traumatized girl narrating the episode and refusing to go to school anymore.

As per the narration of the girl to her father in Telugu, a non-teaching staffer, caught hold of her at the entrance of her classroom on the first floor and questioned about not wearing a uniform. “When she asked me I said that my mother washed the uniform. The lady wanted to know how the uniform was washed on a working day. For that, I remained silent. She faulted my silence as defiance", the frightened girl said to her father.

The infuriated staffer then declared that the right punishment for the girl is to stay in boy’s toilet. "She threw me inside the boy’s washroom. Class IV children saw me and laughed at me. I spent five minutes in the washroom", the girl said in shame. While the 12-year-old spent time in the boy’s toilet and came out the staffer proudly told three teachers moving around about the punishment she had given to the girl."

No teacher said anything", she says in the recording. The girl said a firm "No" to going to that school anymore. "Shift me to some other school" she pleaded with her parent. The parents have not lodged any complaint with the police.

Meanwhile, Balala Hakkula Sangham a Child rights group took up the case. Its honorary president Achyuta Rao said that he had lodged a complaint with the State Human Rights Commission seeking action against the insensitive staffer and the school management. He also announced that the Association would lodge a complaint with the police under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Meanwhile, students unions staged a protest at the school on Monday morning. Protesters entered the school premises and ransacked the furniture demanding action against the staffer who resorted to the alleged inhuman deed. IT Minister KT Rama Rao also responded to the incident and asked Education Minister K Sreehari to take action against the school management.
