Bantwal: ICYM Bantwal Deanery organized “ Yuva Samavesh 2013 “ for youth

Yes, to enhance the power of youth and direct them in the direct path to achieve their goals and lead a successfully worthy life, the ICYM Bantwal Deanery organized a one day programme called ‘YUVA SAMAVESH 2013’ for the youth of Bantwal Deanery on Sunday 11th August at the Farla Parish Hall.

The Program was inaugurated by Rev Fr. Maxim Norohna, Vicar Var, Bantwal Deanery.  Rev. Fr.Ronald D’souz, Director – ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Pinto, Director – ICYM Bantwal Deanery, Fr.Manohar, Parish priest,Farla, Joshua Agrar, Vice president, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Alwyn Agrar, President, ICYM Bantwal Deanery, Anisha Bantwal, Secretary, ICYM Bantwal Deanery and presidents of all ICYM units proceeded the inauguration ceremony. It was carried out in an innovative way. All guests put the imprints of their hands on a banner.

 

 

An inspirational motivating talk was given by Mr. Brian Fernandes (A research scholar of physics) on the topic “inter religious marriages and women empowerment”. Nelson Monis, Ex.President of ICYM Mangalore Diocese, spoke about the important role of youth in society and how they can bring about changes and inspire others and work on their potentials.

A moral street play named ‘Him Amchinch’ was enacted wonderfully by Modankap youth which was applauded by all those present. After lunch, a few group games were conducted by Sheldon Crasta, President – ICYM Mangalore Diocese.

A well-organized program was concluded with an evaluation. More than 200 youth were present for this program. It was the first programme of ICYM Bantwal deanery of this year and many more are expected in the coming months.
