Congress Candidate Pramod Madwaraj Releases Vision Udupi – 2025 in City

Udupi, 23 Apr 2013: The assembly elections are not held and no results were announced. The future MLA of Udupi has not been decided by the voters, while Udupi legislative assembly constituency Congress candidate Pramod Madwaraj has released a book, Vision Udupi – 2025 that gives the picture of what Udupi will be in 2025, if Pramod Madwaraj wins the upcoming assembly elections. Pramod released the book here on Monday April 22.
Speaking on the occasion, Pramod said that the drinking water will be sourced from Varahi and Sitanadi to provide around-the-clock water to residents living in the limits of Udupi municipality and surrounding localities of Brahmavar. Besides, every household will be supplied with piped-cooking-gas, announced Pramod.
Due emphasis will be given to tourism in the district. The efforts will be made to supply uninterrupted electricity, housing to homeless, support fisheries, education and health sector, added Pramod.
The basic infrastructure will be developed in the newly-formed Brahmavar taluk, including construction mini Vidhan Soudha, revival of Brahmavar Sugar Factory, necessary actions to protect women, create jobs for educated youth by inviting IT companies to set up their offices in Udupi, said Pramod.
Udupi – Chikmagalur parliamentary constituency election observer and Mumbai – Ville Parle MLA Krishna Hegde, Congress leaders Laxman Shenoy, Yatish Karker, Meenakshi Madhav, Chittaranjan Das and others were present at the press meet.
BJP the former councilor Chittaranjan Das Hegde joined Congress party who was welcomed by Pramod at the same occasion.
‘I served BJP for 30 years as I believed in the ideologies of BJP that has deviated from its original ideology of respecting the democracy and constitution. I am fed up and join Congress without any aspirations,’ said Hegde.
